Kazakhstan · AbroadAn unprotected brand can be copied, challenged or registered before you
If you don't take care of protection in advance, your name, logo, design or content can become the subject of a dispute.
Someone registers your brand first
If a trademark isn't protected, another market player can obtain the rights to it.
Content is used without permission
Photos, texts, design, music and digital materials require legal protection.
A franchise without contracts is risky
Without a legal basis, scaling leads to conflicts with partners.
Marketing investment is lost
Promoting an unprotected brand means investing in a vulnerable asset.

before filing
Before registration it's important to understand whether there are similar signs, whether the classes of goods and services are chosen correctly and what risks may arise when filing.
A preliminary check helps minimise the risks of refusals, unnecessary costs and lost time.

Didn't find your question? Ask it directly — an ARBIS specialist will answer and suggest the best protection path.
01Can a company name be registered as a trademark?
Yes, if the sign meets the requirements and does not infringe third-party rights. A preliminary check before filing is important.
02Why register a trademark if the company is already registered?
Registering a company and registering a trademark are different processes. A legal entity's name does not protect the brand.
03Can a logo be protected?
Yes. A logo can be protected as a trademark, and in some cases as a copyright object.
04What should I do if my brand is being copied?
You need to document the infringement, assess your position and choose a protection strategy: a cease-and-desist letter, negotiations or court protection.
05Can a trademark be registered outside Kazakhstan?
Yes. Protection applies only in the countries where the mark is registered. International protection requires a separate strategy.
06How much does trademark registration cost?
The cost depends on the number of classes and subclasses, as well as the registration term and the type of applicant (SME, large business, individual). It's best to leave a request for an accurate quote.
Protect your brand before a dispute arises
Intellectual property is a business asset. The earlier you secure rights to your brand, content or technology, the lower the risks and the higher their value. ARBIS will help assess the task, check the risks and propose a clear legal path.
Consultations are available for clients in Almaty, Astana and other cities of Kazakhstan.
